Responsible gambling at LuckyGem

Gambling and betting should always be entertainment, never a source of income. As a betting analyst, I often see how chasing losses ruins an otherwise sound strategy; this page gathers tools, a self-assessment test and official help resources in Spain.

A note on licensing

LuckyGem promotes an operator with an offshore Costa Rica licence, without a DGOJ licence for Spain. Its self-exclusion tools aren't connected to the state's national self-exclusion register (RGIAJ), and legal protection is different (generally lower) than with a Spanish-licensed operator.

Tools available

Setting these limits before your first deposit or bet — not mid-session — is what actually makes them effective.

Self-assessment test

Answer honestly. Three or more "yes" answers suggest seeking professional guidance:

  1. Have you bet more money or time than you originally planned?
  2. Have you needed to bet increasing amounts to feel the same excitement?
  3. Have you tried to cut down or stop gambling without success?
  4. Do you feel restless or anxious when trying to stop?
  5. Do you bet to escape stress or negative emotions?
  6. Have you bet more to try to win back previous losses (chasing losses)?
  7. Have you hidden from family or friends how much you gamble or bet?
  8. Has gambling put a relationship, job or study opportunity at risk?
  9. Have you sold belongings or taken loans to fund gambling?
  10. Have you borrowed money from others to ease a situation caused by gambling?

Protecting minors

Access is prohibited to anyone under 18. We recommend installing parental controls on any device shared with minors, since age verification happens after registration.

Warning signs and support for family

Progressively increasing time or money bet, hiding bank statements, or prioritising gambling over daily obligations are signs worth taking seriously, in yourself or a family member. FEJAR and Gambling Therapy offer resources specifically for relatives.

Self-exclusion at LuckyGem

Request it by contacting support from your account, stating the desired period. During self-exclusion the account is blocked from depositing and betting, though withdrawals of balance available at the time are usually still possible. We recommend requesting it in writing for a record of the date.
